Google has announced that it will soon be launching a new service/tool for worldwide users called Google Knol (short for knowledge) which will encourage authors to contribute signed encyclopedic entries into a massive knowledge base. Basically the key concept is to create a free open-source encyclopedia (Just like Wikipedia) where people can come and write about any topic.
“The key idea behind the knol project is to highlight authors. Books have authors’ names right on the cover, news articles have bylines, scientific articles always have authors — but somehow the web evolved without a strong standard to keep authors names highlighted.”

Think how convenient it could be to establish a startup with an ‘exit’ guaranty in a sum of several hundreds millions bucks, a kind of a premature agreement with one of the ‘net monsters’ that promise you an M&A with an x100 return in five years. Actually it will be so convenient that it will make us (you) a ‘hollow millionaires’ (someone who acts like a millionaire before he actually is and have done nothing to achieve this status) plus it will squeeze out all the fun, spirit and interest of setting and building the startup, which eventually, on my opinion, will end up with zero economic value company in five years or less. Making it simple, if there is no challenge there is no value.
I meet entrepreneurs, partners and investors on a day to day basis, and somehow I have developed (keeping modesty on hold for second) a sense which helps me define between those who are challenged and eager to make a change, coin an innovation and deliver an idea and those who are here ‘just to make money’, as they have heard startup life is ‘money on the floor’. The latter are doomed to fail or at least meant to constantly argue about the future, make lavish expenses in their squeezed startups and fly business class overseas instead of ‘fly their business’ overseas.
The new funding will facilitate commercial implementation with additional carriers as well as expand the depth and breadth of Mobile Posse’s advertising sales division.
