College Tonight announced its new partnership with legendary FBI agent John Douglas as part of its ongoing commitment to protect the privacy of its users. Douglas pioneered the modern techniques in psychological profiling and behavioral science now used by law enforcement agencies throughout the country. College Tonight hopes to utilize his expertise to help guide its technological tools being created and implemented, and make it the safest network of its kind. Because of College Tonight’s strong stance on user privacy and protection of students’ well-being, Lauren Conrad (“The Hills”) recently joined forces with College Tonight to become its national spokesperson.

“John’s expertise and advice are invaluable as we continue to craft a community geared towards free social expression,” Suchin said. “With unprecedented mobility must come unparalleled privacy protections. In our efforts to make this a network that thrives in the comfort of its base, the required .edu suffix is simply the first line of defense.”

Douglas commented, “I’m pleased to lend my years of experience to a community that is a refreshing beacon in the unregulated online struggle to find proper balance between free expression and privacy protections. I admire College Tonight’s being at the forefront of this serious privacy issue, in trying to tame the “wild west” nature of the open Internet.”

College Tonight is a social networking experience and marketing platform which is designed to promote actual social interactivity among college students. Due to the mobile nature of the site, the service’s design is also structured for the mobile user, focusing on nightlife events and social opportunities both directly on a student’s campus and within their broader communities. College Tonight’s platform intends to allow advertisers an opportunity to tap into the world of active, outgoing and socially motivated college students - the “trendsetters” and “tastemakers” of society.
