Scoutle – Automated Social Network for Bloggers

scoutle

Scoutle, a social network site where users create personal webbots (Scouts) that walk through the Internet, while meeting other Scouts and connect to each other. Scoutle offers users a unique way of promoting their blog or website and finding other interesting users without having to do anything. Scoutle is best to describe as automated social networking for bloggers.

Using Scoutle is interesting because you are able to find interesting blogs without having to search for it and in the meantime promote your own blog only to fellow bloggers that are likely to be interested. Because of the algorithms, it is hard to manipulate and because your Scout is doing all the work, there is hardly any reason not to use Scoutle. Scoutle fully relies on how interesting your blog is, not the other way around. It just helps you to get the recognition and appreciation your blog/website deserves.

Scoutle is a social network for personal websites and blogs that helps you find and connect with interesting people, wherever they are.

Scoutle is very user friendly. Hardly any action is needed, Scouts do all the work. The more a Scout meets another Scout, the more interesting the two users are likely to be for each other. Users only have to see the results of their Scouts and see if something interesting has come by. If a user finds an interesting blog/user at Scoutle, both can start a Connection making both their blogs be higher ranked.

Scoutle is launched in beta on 8th May’2008 in English and Dutch. Current users are very enthusiastic. Scoutle is a very new network and will need to grow in order to be able to connect interesting users to each other. However, the beta is working great at the moment. Registration can also be done with OpenID and canceling can be done easily.

Scoutle has a mobile version at www.scoutle.mobi and users can be notified by email or their personal RSS making it even more easy to use.
