Dashwire 2.0 Connected Services Update

As you know, Dashwire offers the industry leading Connected Service to help users take the contacts, text messages, calls, photos, videos, and settings from their mobile phones to their computers and the web, where they can backup their stuff, search & interact with their information, and share their experiences with friends and social sites like Facebook, Flicker, Twitter, FriendFeed, and more. Dashwire’s FREE service keeps the phone and the web constantly connected, so that the stuff done on one automatically shows up on the other in just a few seconds.
Up to this point, they’ve primarily focused on helping users effortlessly bring their mobile phone and content it captures up to the web. Starting with this week’s release, a major focus for them going forward will also be enabling users to bring the content they care about from the web instantly down to their phones, and allowing them to interact with it in a fast, new user interface.
Their new Dashwire Mobile release is the first of many big steps in this direction. Available on http://m.dashwire.com for Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6 (Symbian S60 beta on schedule for late summer), new features include:
- Graphical phone experience featuring user avatar, status updates, and media gallery
- Mobile access to photos & videos located on your Dashwire web account – even if the actual media files aren’t on your phone
- Photo uploads from your computer to your Dashwire web account, which then automatically appear on your phone
- Media editing, blogging, and sharing with friends – on the go as you’re capturing your experiences
- Direct status updates to Facebook & Twitter
- Privacy controls & media publishing
They’ve pulled together a series of resources providing an overview of the Dashwire Mobile 2.0 experience (in case you’re interested):
