palabea.net – Share Your Languages to Create a Speaking World

palabea.net, the first e-learning platform for learning languages, began a new stage of operation last May the 27th by opening its site to the entire online community. Since its launch in October 2007, and still in Beta phase, Palabea.net has attracted over 50,000 users from 190countries. The site is very international, like the palabea team itself: 13 people from 6 different countries.
As an international community, palabea connects people who share the same interests in learning languages and in discovering different cultures.

- And much more…
palabea.net’s primary objective is to improve language learning, regardless of whether it’s online or offlin, and at the same time encourage multiculturalism while dropping down barriers. This is a major distinction between palabea.net, and other platforms. Users can now choose how, what and when they’d like to learn.

palabea complements traditional language schools, rather than compete with them. It is another distinctive aspect of palabea, who from the outset, worked with many schools to help produce elearning applications that are both be easy to use and effective. Palabea is not isolated in its virtual world, it holds on classic methods of teaching languages because it doesn’t want to replace it but support it.
palabea has been founded by Sebastian Schkudlara and Patricia Sierra Fernandez in Berlin. palabea team is small but international with each member speaking two to three languages. palabea has three official languages: English, German and Spanish.
