A Letter from Tatango’s CEO Derek Johnson in the Event of its Launches into Private Beta

July 26th, 2008 by Social Guy

Tatango

Greetings to all SociableBlog readers,

I’m excited to announce the re-birth of the website networkText, under its new name and design Tatango.

networkText started in my parent’s basement and quickly grew to over 4,000 groups, 400,000 members and 4 million text messaging per month. After our latest round of funding from the Bellingham Angels, it was time to re-design the website, add much needed features and re-architect the back end to accommodate the growth we have been experiencing. From day one, our team has been relentlessly driven to build the greatest group text messaging website on the web and I believe with the launch of Tatango, we have met that goal.

In the last couple of weeks we have received over 1,500 requests for beta invitations to the new website, but I wanted to extend the offer to our close contacts first. If you are interested in receiving a beta invitation to Tatango, please reply to me and I will get you one right away.

As always, we wouldn’t be where we are today without your help, guidance, feedback and introductions. Also, if you have time please follow us on Twitter – http://twitter.com/tatango

Thank you,

Derek Johnson
Founder and CEO, Tatango.com

Some Additional Information about networkText or Tatango

The Bellingham Angel Group, an angel investment network focusing on the Pacific Northwest, recently announced an investment in networkText. In his recent interview CEO and Founder, Derek Johnson said in regards to the round, -

“we raised it to re-launch the website under it’s new name, Tatango. This website is much cleaner, easier to use and will incorporate many features that were missing with the original website. Last weekend alone we received over 1,000 beta invite requests.”
