Gigya reached over 150 million unique widget viewers worldwide in June 2008, a 23 percent increase in unique viewer reach since March 2008. comScore reports that a total of 615 million people, representing 65 percent of the worldwide Internet users, viewed or engaged with a widget in June 2008.

Within the United States, Gigya reached over 55 million unique widget viewers, a 25 percent increase since March 2008. This data was released earlier this month as part of comScore’s June WidgetMetrix Report.

Gigya first released its Wildfire technology in April of 2007, recognizing that with the proliferation of platforms supporting user created or controlled web pages, content publishers and developers needed an easier way to support the atomization of their content across the web.

Gigya Reaches over 150 Million Unique Widget Viewers

Wildfire provides publishers with a single point of access for widget distribution and tracking, managing the continually changing APIs of more than 50 unique web platforms to ensure content installs successfully to whichever destination a user chooses. This allows content publishers to focus on what they do best – creating great content and user experiences.

Gigya’s Wildfire Technology is the developer’s choice for widget distribution and tracking, successfully installing more than 600,000 widgets per day, and tracking more than 6 billion widget impressions each month across the social web for more than 1,000 content publishers.

“The size and growth rate of our reach is truly phenomenal, and we are extremely excited to have achieved the major milestone of 150 million unique widget viewers worldwide. This number illustrates the key infrastructure role Gigya is playing in the evolution of the distributed web, and our top priority is to continue providing the most innovative, powerful and elegant tools that help publishers connect people and content across the social web.” said by Eyal Magen, CEO & Co-Founder of Gigya.
