Wi5Connect – Creators of Social Learning 2.0 Community Platform

September 10th, 2008 by Social Guy

Wi5Connect

Organizations worldwide are allocating millions of dollars to social media initiatives that offer at best, uncertain outcomes. But an emerging Web 2.0 company, Wi5Connect, is changing all of that with the launch of private social networks that produce definitive and predictable business results for mid and large enterprises.

Wi5Connect’s “LearnSocial” online community platform, that integrates social networking with a state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS), has been quietly pioneering “Social Learning 2.0″ and have used it for recently created social networks for Steven R. Covey, Omniture, Julie Morganstern and others. A different kind of social network that incorporates learning within its community, unlike the typical networks like Facebook or MySpace.

Wi5Connect’s unique architecture allows enterprises to achieve mission critical business objectives without disrupting the undercurrent of user-generated content common among Web 2.0 technologies. The unique “Social Learning 2.0″ environment created by “LearnSocial” allows companies to better train new hires and veteran employees, more efficiently transfer the company brain trust to newer employees, facilitate the reduction or elimination of political barriers and warring departments, and place at employee fingertips the knowledge base they need to quickly solve problems. When used with clients, companies are better able to educate their customers on the use of their product or service. But more importantly, this platform is the means of helping customers identify how to use those products strategically in their own businesses.

“A complaint held by many business executives is that they struggle to see or realize the potential ROI of Web 2.0 tools. We’ve purposefully designed our architecture to strengthen the business applications of Web 2.0 technologies. We’re extremely pleased to note that our customers are experiencing ROI results that far exceed Google Benchmarks for other similar sites—sometimes by as much as 1,000 percent,” said Laurie Lohner, Wi5Connect CEO.

What they’ve done is fairly unique. They have blended social networks with learning management. That turns out to equal immediate traction and ROI for the companies using Wi5. Steven Covey’s network was recently featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show and has 30,000 immediate subscribers and quantifiable revenue.
