BigTweet – Post to Twitter from Anywhere with 280 Characters

BigTweet is a new twitter application that allows one to post to Twitter from anywhere on the Web. It is a Bookmarklet that installs easily on all the major browsers.
BigTweet allows you to post up to 280 characters, shorten URLs and include special unicode characters from whatever web page you are on. There are options that allow you to automatically insert the current page title and short URL if desired for quick posting.
For those that believe 140 characters should be the limit, BigTweet has a mode control to switch between 140 and 280 characters. A useful substitute to TweetDeck or twhirl.

BigTweet runs on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). Amazon SimpleDB is used to store usernames and encrypted passwords for users who wish to remain logged in at the end of a browser session.
