Box.net Launches Web Documents

Today Box.net announces a new collaboration tool that lets users create simple documents online – called Web Documents – within their Box workspaces.
Web Documents lets users create online documents right inside Box. It’s like a simple wiki page, perfect for quick ‘in-the-flow’ collaboration such as meeting notes, task lists, research notes and brainstorms. It’s not meant to replace Word or apps like Google Docs and Zoho, but instead is for Box users that want to create and manage simple documents in the same place they store all their content.
Web Documents enables Box users to:
- Create a new online document from within any folder in their Box workspace
- Engage in wysiwyg editing with familiar formatting
- Allow multiple people to view a document at the same time
- Automatically share with everyone in a shared workspace or folder

Few days ago, Box.net launched a completely revamped version of its site and an iPhone app whereby folks can access all of their Box.net features.
