Bumblehood – Access and Organize Information more Effectively

Bumblehood is a community-driven wiki portal which contains a knowledge base about countries and cities worldwide, covering a multitude of topics such as geography, politics, history, landmarks, transportation, local businesses and others.
It is organized in a semantic, structured way which enables easy access to all relevant information, and adding new content is very easy to do through a WYSIWYG editor, all powered by the innovative BumbleMap platform. A vibrant, engaged and active community is encouraged to share their experiences with local businesses and services and submit reviews to help others make informed decisions about where to spend their time and money.

All content is accessible free of charge and without the need for registration.
To sum it all up, the main features of the project include :
- Community-created content, open to each and every individual who wants to contribute by editing the existing content or adding new parts;
- What-you-see-is-what-you-get editor (WYSIWYG), templates, and gadgets for creating or updating the content;
- Reviewing system, which allows community members to exchange opinions on local businesses, giving them the power and freedom of evaluation.
- Topic maps tree structure, in which content is organized and semantically marked providing easy navigation and search;
- Print manager enables the community members to print their own local guides free-of-charge;
- A forum for sharing experiences and knowledge, as well as casual socializing with other users
Currently there are more than 45,000 topics about 30 countries in the Bumblehood database, with new content being added regularly.
