TweetCall, a new service that allows users to dial an easy-to-remember toll-free number, 1-877-TWEETCALL (893-3822), to “speak their tweets,” which are then transcribed and uploaded to Twitter.
TweetCall is the perfect solution for those lacking the skill, patience or time to send SMS messages conventionally, or those wishing to post tweets while driving. In fact, TweetCalling is faster and easier than texting. At the present time, there is no cost for TweetCalling.
Accuracy is essential when communicating with your friends, one typo could ruin your reputation. TweetCall is powered by Quicktate‘s highly accurate transcription service, which uses humans to proofread all messages for proper syntax, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation before they are submitted.
Much has been written in the New York Times recently about the use of ghostwriters to post tweets at the expense of preserving a “real-time stream of genuine thoughts and actions by celebrities.”
Blogger and Twitter expert Cathy Perkins believes that the speed and simplicity of dialing (877) Tweet-Call will result in an increase in the overall number of tweets that ultimately get posted while at the same time reduce the need for ghostwriters. “How hard can it be to speed-dial TweetCall, speak your tweet and then hang up? It’s a no-brainer,” quips Perkins.
