SodaHead, a leading opinion community focused on discussing today’s hottest topics, announced its first strategic media partnership with Technorati, the definitive source for the top and emerging stories, photos and videos across all topics.
This partnership is an ideal marriage for the two sites. It will feature SodaHead “Polls of the Day” in eight sections of Technorati’s site while introducing Technorati visitor’s to SodaHead’s discussion-based community site. This serves to enhance the user’s experience on Technorati in order to further engage its visitors and promote discussion.
“Technorati is one of the most valuable resources to search and harness the power of blogs and blog posts,” said Michael Glazer, co-founder, SodaHead. “This partnership will introduce and increase traffic to both sites’ users while providing an invaluable exchange of content between the two communities.”
SodaHead will provide Technorati with relevant “Polls of the Day” that will feature questions about breaking stories occurring each day. Publishers can now use SodaHead’s partner polls to augment breaking stories with relevant and interesting questions for users to participate.
Since its launch in September 2007, SodaHead has attracted more than 1,000,000 members, 12 million comments, 8 million votes and was named one of the fastest growing communities in 2008. SodaHead will continue to seek partnerships with media outlets and other content providers to enhance the user experience of its site. SodaHead was founded by Jason Feffer and Michael Glazer, who have been best friends since kindergarten.
