Jobvite, the recruitment technology innovator, launched Jobvite Source, the first Web application to help employers find the right candidates in social networks and on the Web. The application helps employees find referral prospects in their social networks and contacts and helps recruiters target prospective candidates on the Web. Any company can use Jobvite Source on its own or along with other recruiting technologies.
The Web and social networks have huge potential to help companies find employees, but it takes special skills and often hours to identify a prospect. Case in point, a Google search for a product manager in San Francisco turns up more than 50,000 results, few of which actually suggest a person who’s appropriate for the job.
Jobvite will launch the first comprehensive social recruitment solution
with its new standalone platform, Jobvite Source, which features:
- An intelligent candidate search engine that hunts the open web and
social networks to find the right people and profiles for a job description, employing Jobvite’s matching technology. - A social profile feature that collects social profile and contact information for prospects in one click, eliminating the need for a separate search.
- An organizational campaigns tool that enables recruiters to send and
track communications via all social networks.

Using Jobvite Source, any company can find high-quality passive candidates – prospects typically not using job boards – and build its own talent pool using new candidate relationship functionality. Any employee can easily refer contacts from their social networks, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, for jobs at their company.
Traditional keyword search on the Web is often impractical for busy recruiters due to the overwhelming number of irrelevant results. Instead, Jobvite’s proprietary matching technology seeks out people and profiles that meet job requirements. With Jobvite Source, you enter a job description into the vertical search engine and it instantly finds relevant candidate profiles from across the Web.
Reporting capabilities enable companies to measure the results of employee referral and social recruiting initiatives by job and campaign.
“Because we value referrals from our employees and their networks, we added Jobvite to our recruiting technologies to open a social recruiting channel,” said John Zwieg, Director of Worldwide Staffing at Logitech.
Jobvite Source is now available and can be purchased on its own or in
conjunction with Jobvite Hire. Beta customers include Logitech, Yellowbook and Bio-Rad.
