
DISH Network, the leading provider of satellite TV entertainment has announced that DISH Remote Access – the free app which provides DISH Network customers with the ability to watch live as well as recorded TV on compatible smartphones, laptops as well as tablets, is now available for the Apple iPad too. To watch live as well as recorded TV on the iPad, the DISH Network viewers will need a, Sling-enabled™ device such as the Sling Adapter connected to broadband. Sling Adapter is a small placeshifting device which teams up with DISH Network’s ViP 722 or 722k DISH HD DVRs.

Unlike mobile viewing from cable and telcos that limit access to select programs, our TV Everywhere services give consumers 24 x 7 access to all of their live and recorded content included with their DISH Network programming subscription.”
Apart from TV viewing, the DISH Remote Access app also offers DISH Network customers who have compatible DISH HD DVRs the scope to browse as well as search up to nine days of programming in advance, schedule the DVR recordings, manage recording conflicts, delete shows on more than one receivers, and to even transform the iPadTM into one fully-functional remote control.
The DISH Remote Access app for the iPad can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store.
