For many users, turning on Timeline will likely serve as a trip down memory lane as they rediscover photos and updates they shared months and years ago. All that’s been stored on Facebook.
Facebook Timeline also allows each user to set a unique “Cover” photo that sits at the top of a user’s page and is independent of a profile picture.
Starting today, timeline will also be available on Android and m.facebook.com. Once you do, though, you’ll have only a week (7-day review period) to move stuff around, hide photos or feature them more prominently on your page. When you upgrade to timeline, you’ll have seven days to review everything that appears on your timeline before anyone else can see it.
Timeline was originally unveiled in September during Facebook’s annual F8 conference.
