Social Commerce Site Pays Users to Source and Market Daily Deals

AllStar Deals

Ever thought it would be nice to make money for things you post or re-post on Facebook and Twitter? A new website is offering a unique way to do just that – it pays you to find daily deals and share them with your friends and family via Facebook and Twitter.

AllStar Deals is a new social commerce website that provides consumers, or “deal scouts” as they’re calling them, with the opportunity to earn extra money. So, how does this work exactly?

As a deal scout, I go into my favorite local pizza parlor (or any other local merchant) and work with them to create a deal – say $15 for two large pizzas (the price of one large pizza usually). After we agree on the terms, the folks at AllStar Deals verify the deal with the pizza parlor and send me a unique code to track sales of my deal.

I then post that code for the deal to my Twitter and Facebook pages for all my friends and family to buy. I can also email the deal to friends who aren’t quite with the digital age yet (there are still anti-Facebook people out there!). I would then earn 20 percent of the net amount of each deal sold.

So, if 200 of my friends buy the deal, I would make $240 cold hard cash. Real dough! I can also earn extra cash by promoting other people’s deals – 10 percent of the net profit of those deals.

Merchants also get a larger piece of the pie (no pun intended) by receiving 60 percent of all revenues, which is ten percent higher than what most deal sites pay. Local merchants also gain exposure to new audiences and, as it’s a friend recommending the product or company, it increases the likelihood that consumers who buy the deal will become repeat customers.

AllStar Deals is also working with celebrities and brands to offer deals to their fans. So, for example, a major sports icon and sports brand could offer $10 for $20 worth of sports-branded apparel. Both parties would post the deal on their Facebook and Twitter pages for fans to purchase. Commission can be optionally donated to their favorite charity or foundation.
