I am going to take a wild guess here and say that you have more than one social media profile. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon…am I close? I know because I am the same way. Every social network available has at least gotten a nod of acknowledgment from me, and I have a list of my favorites that I use on a daily basis.
When it comes or saving money, you might be surprised to find that you can add that to your social activities and enjoy the process as part of a community. In fact, there are so many ways to do so these days that I had trouble narrowing it down to five for this article. But I managed to do it, and here are the five that I think are the very best and innovative.
1. Happier

This UK based website is only just getting its start. Still in Beta, it has a growing number of people taking part in the demo version to offer feedback and help them make changes before the official release. You can become one of their Beta members today, just by entering your email address.

There are daily deals, tips for saving cash, coupons, freebies, contests and a community of people to communicate and swap advice with. Be sure to check out their blog for updates on the site, and posts that will save you even more cash.
2. Swagbucks

I have tried a lot of those programs like InboxDollars and MySurvey. Ultimately, they fell short of what they promised. Which is why when a friend told me about Swagbucks, yet another in that line, I was skeptical. But I joined anyway, so she could enjoy the benefits of my referral. Within a day, I was hooked.

Find special deals, get great coupons, take surveys and use their search engine. All of those and more, including online shopping and watching videos, will earn you bucks to use towards rewards. My favorite are Amazon gift cards, which you can get at $5 per 450 SB. Even just using it casually, there is no reason you can’t see real results and quickly.
3. Weemba

Do you have a collection of debts pushing you to bankruptcy? Or an idea for a great business you want to get off the ground? If you need money but can’t handle the high interest rates of a banking institution, this might be the place for you.

The borrower gives their personal details to validate their identity with the site, then publishes an ad with their project, amount needed and time of loan. The lenders then find the ad, request the details of the borrower from the site, and once authorized by you, are given that private data. They can then provide the loan if they choose.
4. Smarty Pig
![]()
I will admit this right now: I am terrible at saving. Having easy access to my savings account is an easy way to tempt me into spending it. Which is why I love this site. It is a digital piggy bank you open for free. It has a 1.00% APY, 1% cash back on purchases made from the fund, cash rewards with up to 11% cash back and more.

You just create the goal and use the piggy bank to help you reach it fast. All while finding other users for encouragement through their social network.
5. Art of Saving
![]()
This is the largest saving based social network on the web. They have a ton of users, experts to help you with financial problems, coupons, articles, forums, blogs, free quotes for various services and more.
